Made for
Brisbane.

Our Calling

Craft and community mean everything to us, and it’s our mission to welcome folk from all walks of life to a place that celebrates the locally sourced, locally made and locally loved. We’re made in Brisbane, for Brisbane.

Creating a
Community

When James and his wife Kirstie discovered the century-old site sitting disused and forgotten, they knew at once what they had to do. They’ve since put their heart and soul into restoring the area – one dusty beam at a time – to bring these bewitching buildings back to life.

What began as a boutique coffee shop has now expanded into a thriving community that welcomes anyone and everyone with a passion for craft. Ours is a place where we can all feel present. Where we can slow down and savour. Where family comes first, and simplest is always best.

A home
with history

Albion has long been home to Brisbane’s makers, and Craft’d Grounds is extremely humbled to be part of this ongoing legacy.

At the centre of this resilient flood-zone community sits Albion’s old timber mill, which has housed generations of makers beneath soaring skylit roofs. The fields nearby were home to verdant Vietnamese market gardens, nourishing local familes for decades.

We may no longer see freshly milled logs floating up Breakfast Creek into the timber yard, or fragrant fields of mint, but the care and craftsmanship of Brisbane’s industrial past remains alive to this day.

Acknowledgement of Country

Craft’d Grounds acknowledges the Yuggera people and the Turrbal people, as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we gather. We pay respects to their Elders past, present and emerging, for they hold the hopes, dreams, traditions and cultures of Aboriginal Australia.

We extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and recognise those whose ongoing effort to protect and promote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures will leave a lasting legacy.

We are committed to nurturing a culture that respects the fundamental value and dignity of all individuals, across diverse traditions, histories and experiences.

Where To Find Us

We’ve expanded next door to our well-loved cafe Collingwood Black (pouring freshly roasted espresso from Seven Miles Coffee Roasters) and events venue The Black. Come by for a drink and a visit!
